The very sweet, large, juicy, rich red Lapins cherry has been awarded the “Garden of Merit.” Delicious eaten fresh, wonderful for baking, Lapins has firmer flesh than other varieties so it resists splitting. The fruit usually ripens July and August. Lapins semi-dwarf trees stay about 12 to 15 feet tall, and they have attractive yellow/orange/red foliage in the fall.
